How to Upload Conversations Manually

Learn how to upload your calls or conversations to Voyc manually

Call data (referred to as audio, calls, recordings, or conversations) are needed to generate the transcript that Voyc uses to analyse your conversations and allows the person viewing the call to listen to the audio.

When setting up your Channel, you will be asked what primary method you would like to use to get your call data onto the platform. Calls can be added in an be added in three ways:

  1. Via sFTP

  2. API - Upload time is near real time

  3. Uploaded Manually - Each call takes about 10 minutes to upload and process

šŸ’” Tip: If your primary way to get our calls onto the platform is sFTP or API, you can still upload calls manually at a later stage through the Channel Conversation List.

Uploading Calls Manually When Creating a Channel

If your primary integration method is Manual, you can upload calls in step 6 of creating a Channel.

Ensure your naming convention is correct and edit it if needed by selecting Edit Naming Convention. Your naming convention should match the naming structure of the call. Learn more about naming conventions here.

  1. Select the Click to Select Files upload icon to select your files.

  2. Once your files are selected you should see them listed below with the ability to remove them on the right of the call row. Select Validate to check that the call name matches the naming convention structure.

  3. If they all match you will be able to upload them by selecting the Upload button. You will be able to see how many have been uploaded using the Audio files Uploaded counter on the top left of the uploading call list.

  4. Once uploaded you can complete your set up

šŸ’”Tip: When setting up your Channel we suggest uploading one or two calls as a test. Uploading big call volumes can take time and whilst using the Channel creation upload flow, you cannot exit the page until all calls have uploaded. If you have more than 5 calls upload them in the Channel Conversation List so they can upload in the background.

Uploading Calls in an Existing Channel

  1. Ensure all calls that you want to upload the Naming Convention set for that Channel. Learn more about naming conventions here.

  2. Select the Channel that you would like to upload your conversations to.

  3. Select the Upload Conversations icon on the top left of your conversations list.

4. Complete the audio quality disclaimer by selecting "Proceed". Check the "Do not show this again" radio button if you would like to skip this step in the future.

5. Select "Add Files" and choose the conversation files that you would like to upload. You are able to upload multiple files at once.Ā 

6. Then "Validate" your files. Once validated a green toaster message (pop-up) will appear and the boxes surrounding your conversations will turn green green.

7. You can then upload your conversations by selecting "Upload". You may close the box whilst they upload, you will be notified when they have finished uploading.

šŸ’” Validating checks that the conversation files are valid against your Naming Convention. You can edit your naming convention settings by selecting "Edit Naming Convention" or you can edit the name of each call by selecting the call and editing the name.
