Are you planning to manually upload some conversations within a channel on Voyc? You will be required to set up a naming convention for all the files that you’re planning to upload. This setup ensures that conversations are correctly uploaded to your channel. In this article, we’ll guide you through the steps to setup your naming convention for conversation uploads in Voyc.
Getting Started with Setting up your Naming Convention
Within the audio settings tab, one of the last settings is the naming convention. This is where you can create the structure showing how the files to be uploaded should be named.
To create a naming convention , follow these steps:
Click the + icon to modify the fields of the naming convention and select a field.
Add the following fields in sequence:
Start with the Agent Name.
Then, add the Call Date, Call Time, and Call Direction fields.
For each field, select your preferred format:
For the Call Date, you might choose a format such as
yyyy-mm-dd
.For the Call Time, you could select a format like
hh-mm-ss
.
📝Take note: You can rearrange the fields by clicking and dragging them.
Copying a Naming Convention
You also have the option to copy a naming convention from an existing channel within your organisation. To do so, follow these steps:
Click the Copy convention button.
A pop-up will appear with a dropdown menu to select the Channel you want to copy the convention from.
Click the dropdown, and a list of channels in your organisation will appear. Select the channel you wish to copy from.
Once selected, click Copy to apply the naming convention to your current channel.
📝Take Note: The naming convention set in the channel must always match the naming convention of the files to be uploaded. If this is not the case, the files will not be processed.
By following these steps, you can customise your naming convention for efficient manual conversation uploads within your channel on Voyc.
